Arma 3
TROJAN? Is it safe?
Ok guys i have just this second reinstalled ARMA and Malwarebytes blocked some thing from this game!
Said

"RTP detection, Trojan blocked web site then a ip address ending with 170"

Is this normal?

It’s the first time it’s flagged any thing and it’s soon as I down loaded this game.

Battleye is probably the cause. Very aggressive anticheat that they might flag as spyware or as a trojan.

who even uses antivirus in 2020 anyways lol
Only a fool wouldn't, i use Kaspersky and never had any viruses or issues on a computer i built, i dont think so, and im on the internet all the time last thing i need is something wreaking havoc on my machine, best you think twice before not having something protect your computer while your on the internet.

We're definitely better off than we were in the XP days, where an AV was pretty much a requirement to go on any website, but an AV is still very useful for checking out grey area sites and underground downloads.

Besides, not all viruses are overt. Keyloggers and backdoor trojans can be nasty stuff.

If you're running Windows 10 ? It has a Anti-virus built in it already. I would get rid of the Malwarebytes program all together. I had that program while running Windows 7 and it ran ♥♥♥♥♥♥..

If I was you , I would delete it and then run a virus scan. Arma 3 is safe. I have close to 4000 hours and no problems at all.

been answered on the main forums its a false positive thanks any way to those that actually tried to help.
Arma 3 does not contain any viruses, so it's your PC that's at fault here.

He already knows what it is, its his Malwarebytes program thats thinking the arma3 application is a trojan, as he knows he has to make an exception for the game which im sure hes done already.

Yes I done it, I also virus scanned the file in question and it’s clean. It’s just MWB thinking it’s some thing bad when it isn’t.
