So you are basically trying to disable high resolution settings? Because that is the only DPI i have ever heard of: Dots per inch = resolution.
Can you describe me every detail of this issue. What do you do exactly to prevent it. Has the issue been around for a long time or just recently? Are there any mods enabled? And so on.. Maybe we can make this work. Its a new problem for me and i'm more than happy to help.
every time i launch the game it activates "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" in the properties and it makes the game unplayable
every time i disable it it reactivates , any solution?

I see.. Windows 8.1 by any chance?
If so: Right click your desktop --> Screen resolution --> Make text and other smaller objects larger or smaller --> Change the 150% option to either 125% or 100%.
This might work. Not sure on other platforms though.
i do have that actually ill try it an let you know
it worked thanks mate
No problem! I'm glad i could help.

DPI dose mean dots per inch, but is used to measure mouse sensitivity across the screen!!

And

PPI Pixels per inch or PPC Pixels per centimeter is used to measure pixel density (Resolution)

I hope that has cleared that up for ya, so you can save yourself the embarrassment in the future!!

In Finland we use DPI and PPI interchangeably actually. Even though you are right that PPI would be a more accurate term if the subject would be screen resolution.
