new to pc gaming and arma 3

hi all ive just started with pc gaming mainly because of arma 3 after seeing many youtube videos i decided to join in. Any advice on servers and things to ease me into it. Im also interested in the roleplay side of things.

ArmA is the best first game to get into imo

youre out of your mind for this take, its literally a game on a janky engine with numerous issues (including performance issues) and including bad CPU utilization.

arma 3 is bottom tier for a 1st PC Game, even despite the glaring issues there are elements that do not make it beginner PC Gaming Friendly.

You could maybe check out karmakut and operatordrewski on youtube, they seem to know and promote some very active servers

I don't know. It's like being thrown into the fire. If you can handle Arma 3 as a first pc game then you can handle any pc game.

Hey, straight to point. We play in EU times on Fridays and Saturdays generally. Server is up 24/7, so hosting on workdays is possible.
We have no specific faction, so Zeuses can make mission where we play as anyone against anything. Once you join you can attend missions immediately. There are trainings, but they are for "dibs" (someone who is a pilot trained, can pick pilot role before others).
We are not serious "milsim", I would describe us as Semi-Serious. You can joke all you want, but when bullets start flying, cut the crap, until they stop.
We are pretty new, so we don't have a lot of attendance yet. Small unit tactics it is than.

Make sure you have a full size keyboard (with numpad on the side) You are going to need it with all the keybinds. Maybe you don't need them all at the same time for what you are doing in the game. But reassigingi keybinds is going to be a pain with a limited keyboard.

Bro-Nation Mike Force #1 Server (or #2) are both fun to jump into and have a great group of people to play the game with.

Arma 2 was my third PC game on steam (After Red Orchestra: Ostfront and L4D). Even with all of its jank it's still one of my favorite games and I don't regret starting with it, plus Arma 3 runs better than that game. To each their own though. I can see why some people would recommend against this as their first PC game.

Don't post that. You will have clans trying to recruit you to some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass server where they have rules and such. Not fun.

If you want to familiarise yourself then play the campaign missions, then join a coop session. Main ones are bad company invade and annex and hud. Once you have got use to the controls in those modes, then you can head over to PVP sessions like KTH RHS or KTH

Karmakut requires a password from their DISCORD and it's usually populated.
