Arma 3
Operation Signal Lost Impossible?
How to get past the town at the beginning of the mission? I tried alot of times to go through it. but there are way too many enemies. Tried to swim past it to the left, died for some reason after swimming a while (not alloed to swim)...

When I went right I got the furthest, killed four enemies, but when reaching a certain point your character thinks out loud "where the hell am I going, I should go back" and a whole frekin mine field blocks the path to the right. When trying to hook from their to the middle one meets alot of enemies.

Wtf is this mission design seriously.

Have tried another 1,5 hour now. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible. Tried going right this time, took equipment from the guys at the first car. Went back to where I started, killed a third guy that suprised me (got lucky) and went left along the beach houses. There was four guys that saw me, got two of them. Before that I tried the same thing but tried to go through the middle, there too were four guys shooting at me. This is ridiculous. Worst level design in a looong time.

Tough mission for sure. Requires patience and stealth. Go up the hill from the beach. In the little chapelette overlooking the shelling, is a pair of Binoculars. From there I headed to the NNE and wait in bushes overlooking the ruins. Watch for and keep an eye on patrols. Cross over to the ruins when safe. There are dead guys in there that you can arm up from. Then just work your way to the hill. Very challenging and took me awhile, but is was fun!

I've been trying to figure out this mission for a while. I head north towards the hill east of the hill with the radio tower. Kerry says something along the lines of "Where the hell am I?". At this point, if I press M to look at the map or mission info, I die inexplicably, not from mines, just a frustrating and silent auto-death. I don't get the point of killing the player when he is just trying to figure out where to go when the game provides little guidance even when you do find a map.

This mission is tough... the odds are supposed to be against you, you will need to retry several times. But if you run straight up the hill from the beach, turn slightly left and head in that direction you should come to an intersection not far from the beach where a chopper lands to drop off some troops and there is a destroyed APC with some dead troops around. The idea is to get to this APC before the chopper get's there, and grab a map off one of the bodies, then run up the hill next to the APC and keep moving into the woods. Sometimes someone will see you or someone from the chopper will catch a glimpse of you but you will already have a head start on them. Once you have the map a mark will be placed on it showing you where to meet up with the FIA, and there should be only open fields and forest between you and your destination. You don't even need to waste time grabbing guns or ammo as the rebels have some for you.

I just legged it to the objective without supplies or anything. It;s probably not the best way to do it, but it's easy.

Yeah I just ran too, close to the water.

Either way. For me, I like the challenge of the skirmishes!

Yeah thanks Tanchyon, I've been stuck on this for about 10 minutes! Anyway I found the mission fun for the most part, especially trying to survive with a friendly patrol or rifleman, but it was getting hard even after I spent the time to go far wide to the coastal side all the way wide to cut in and even then dying from the A.I. With your advice I did exactly as you said and went straight by with no opposition and no shots fired. Just wanted to give ya a thanks - you deserve it

No worries I know what you mean it took a bit of trial and error and a lot of bloodshed for me to figure that one out. There's other ways but this was the easiest to me.

Just run for it near the water.

What pissed me off, was that i got to my team, was alerted of mines "BEHIND" them, and i approached from in front of them and then got blown up by a mine, now i cant get back there
