Many campaigns and other mods I play use both. RHS is mainly weapons while CUP has very important map mods and also weapons depending on what you choose. They have worked fine together for years.
Basically, this. RHS has better quality but less content than CUP, though it does update occasionally, but not often. CUP offers more content, even things from the 80's and 90's, but the quality is more on the lines of Arma 2 content. It took years for CUP to finally have proper reload animations without invisible mags.
I struggle to see how people feel the need to have mods with actual US or RUS assets when games like combat mission exist and are extremely authentic.
Vanila Arma3 has amazing content,especially adding CDLC that is in the same verse like WS.
RHS content looks garbage and CUP is basically Arma2 upscaled with near to quality wise Arma3 standards. All Arma3 weapons exept that underslung .50 are based off existing and even older weapons.
Arma3 vehicles are beautiful,so are uniforms,gear,maps. Vanilla for life
you are really missing out on a lot of very well made mods that bring more realism and detail to the sim than vanilla...your loss.
Exactly the vanilla. Reload animations are standadized unlike mods which quality varies WILDLY,as do sounds. Arma3 weapons and content looks baseline awesome and is optimised in every way. Yes i use sound mods and i have ALOT of weapon retextures for variaty. But faction overhauls dont add anything to Arma3,especially as you can design your own units in VA.
Faction mods are trash RHS is particular and drops fps massively. CUP is ok as it is Arma2 assets upscaled and given better modern fixes but its still way below Arma3 standards.
RHS is more resource intesive and limited but the quality of the models are very high teir.
