How do I host a private server to play with my friends without any third party software like hamachi for instance?

It's literally in the ArmA 3 directory. ArmA 3 server.
Or you can just hit host new thingy in ArmA 3 itself. Done.

Hi Recon,

You can create a server by going into the ArmA 3 Launcher or the ArmA 3 In-game Mulitplayer Area and pressing the 'new' button, you will need to PORT FORWARD.
