Can I find my vehicle on map?

If somebody took my vehicle because it was unlocked, what can I do to take my vehicle back?

press y then bring up your key chain it will tell you the distance in meters you are from your car. you could try and close down on those meters by moving one way etc etc

so I can't see a mark / checkpoint or something definite? Just meters and I need to guess where my vehicle is?
