Arma 3 crashes on launch, then "exited in an unusual manner"

I've just bought arma 3 and it doesn't even launch. When I click play, the loading bar gets to "LOADING ADDONS" and then it crashes. Either I get "ARMA 3 HAS EXITED IN AN UNUSUAL MANNER: STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERHANG or STATUS APPLICATION HANG", or "Arma 3 has stopped working".


Please help, I did not pay £22 to watch a loading screen crash.

Try verifying the cache, go to your steam library, right click on arma 3, go in propertys , local files, and click on verify game cache. It will verify the files of your game and if there is a problem with a file it will redownload it. Hope it solves your problem.
