There is a free version called Argo. If you want to play Arma 3 you need to buy it.

Normally, when you play ArmA3 and use items out of the official DLCs, you get a nag-screen to buy it. Have you tried this?

The DLCs are on sale for 60% off at this weekend. Contact the support.

ARMA3 is free for the WEEKEND. If you have not purchased the game you will NOT be able to play it once the free weekend ends.

Yeah but is it a +1 though I really want to know it won't suddenly stop downloading as soon as it hits Monday because there's no way by broadband is gonna get it all through in time

If you don't own the game as soon as the time expires the download will most likely stop. You can't download updates for games you downloaded on free weekends after the timer ends so the download should also stop.

I'm pretty sure you are a troll, but just in case: At the moment Arma 3 is on "free weekend", that means you can play until the timer on the store page ends. THERE IS NOT a free to play version of Arma 3, although there is Argo which is a matchmaking mode of A3, but it's a different game.
