Download stuck trying to verify game files

My game is stuck trying to validate the integrity of my game files in Downloads. I tried verifying the game files in the Steam Local Files and it does find 1 file that failed to validate and it quickly downloads the steam redistribute file. But after it does that and it continues the verifying of game files in the Steam downloads and will quickly flash "corrupted game file" and then restart the verification over again. Please help.

Make sure Steam, the Launcher and the game are shutdown. Locate the folder with the modID in C:\wherever_you_have_your SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content. Or inside the adjacent "downloads" or "temp" folder that should be right next to it. Then delete all the mod contents inside the folder. Restart Steam and the Launcher and do a repair on the mod shown in the mods folder. But the launcher may automatically start downloading it. Alternatively unsubscribe to the mod and resubscribe to it. That should get the old deleted and a new one installed/redownloaded.
