Akm 7.62 weak?
so i shot this guy about 3 times, yet hes not dead, doesnt the 7.62 2 shot?

body armor or the server hit dection could be kinda ♥♥♥♥

Heavy armor like the special carrier rig could take a few hits on the torso.

Could be worth checking how it stacks against the nato heavier vests.

You also do more poorly if you hit differnet areas with each hit. It seems that each area ahs some sort of damge limit, or each shot to an area deals more damage. In other words try to hit someone in the same place each time, even if that place is in the leg (heck half the time you'll kill faster with leg shots then a body shot due to heavy armour).

True that at point blank range a nato soldier is killed one hit in the legs from that calibre.

One with a special carrier rig dies 3rd shot point blank in torso.

I tried the AKs, they just felt bad.
They felt like painball guns or something. Their shooting sounds are pretty bad also.
Can't wait for a mod that'll change their sound effects.

It is for BR but I think they didnt change anything.

AK12 is just very weak.

Also note that AKM and AK12, although labelled as 7.62, use a smaller and slightly less powerful round 7.62x39. As oppose to the NATO 7.62x51.

There are only 2 health bars for a soldier.

:Torso health.
:And overall health. (including torso)

Unless something has changed.

I have tried the AK-12 7.62 in VR and its pretty nice 100m away with a heavy GL rig it took 1-2 shots to kil them to the chest usally just 1.. 500m away is about 2 shots. at 1000 it took about 3-4 shots.

I havent played arma in forever but just started playing and got the Apex dlc. I havent used the AK in combat yet but in the VR the stability was pretty good. I personally like the new MG they added the Lim-85.

I am not 100% sure about the AK-12 dmg but the recoil and control is pretty good and easy to control and keep ur crosshairs on target. I really dont like the SPAR-17 the recoil is crazy even using a bipod also with it just resting.

I hate that I came back and there are al these new weapons and im not 100% sure if I should just stick to the normal MX mk18 or sometimes the Katiba. Last time I used the Katiba it was awsome and when I was playing like a year or 2 ago it was easy for long ranged targets even up to 1k because the recoil is barely anything and the spread is really tight.

I noticed the MK18 recoil got changed to and from the last time I played it now has alot more recoil and crap spread.

I dont think the AK-12 is weak atleast from just testing in VR but its nice to use the burst for targets 300-400ms out. I know in VR I put on the heavy GL chest and from like 100ms away 1 shot at the chest and it took it down. I think the problem with the AK-12 is using it at distance as again from using VR 500m away it was 1 shot kill 1000m away took like 4-6 hits
