Arma 3

...Why is my profile not deleting?
First, some notes:

1: This is NOT my game's/PC's default profile for the game.
2: This is not the most recent profile I have created.
3:Created pre-Apex

So yeah. Every time I load up Arma3 it is in this profile. I tried swwitching profiles, but when I'd restart arma it would load back into this one. I then began deleting the profile. Every time Arma closes and comes back, the profile is back and is the one active. This is not my PC's profile Arma 3 creates when you do a fresh install. This was not created during Apex's sneak preview.

I am about to find the arma 3 file folder and simply delete it in the OS, but truthfully I'd like to keep it. I guess I could always make a similar one though.

You can set up in the launchers parameters which profile should be loaded, try that.

Have never had this problem before.. Make sure you press "OK" after u have selected your character instead of pressing "ESC" as many ppl do, for example changing some settings and then press "ESC" which wont save the settings. ;)

I have this problem too. Any resolutions?

Move or rename the directories 'Arma 3' and any others starting 'Arma 3...' from your Documents folder.

See if that removes the profile. If it does, you are probably best to start afresh.

If it doesn't then you'll need to find where the profile option is pointing to and chase down the folder to delete from that.

Thanks NZPorterDJ

I'd already tried creating a new profile within Arma 3 and then deleting the old profile, but it doesn't let me. 'Delete' on the old profile is greyed out.

I've just uninstalled the game and deleted the files/profiles/game saves from my computer, then reinstalled Arma 3, but it's still coming up with my old profile name. I wonder now if I should have also uninstalled Steam and deleted any remaining Steam files, then reinstalled. I will be formatting my PC later in the autumn so will try then.

It's frustrating because even with the new profile created, every time I open Arma 3 it defaults back to selecting the old profile rather than the last profile used.
