ARMA 3 kicks me from servers so I can't play online.

Okay so before I tell you the problem I will say that my laptop is half decent at playing Arma 3 on medium settings (I mainly play on med) and my internet is somewhat bad and I have terrible ping as I live in New Zealand that is probably the problem but I am gonna ask anyways to make sure that there isn't just an easy fix to this or something. So here is my dilemma: I bought ARMA 3 last year for Christmas and I have played only singleplayer until now. I decided that I was to take a crack at multiplayer today cuz SP was boring me. So the first few times that I joined a server I could play for as long as I wanted but it was horribly laggy so I crashed often. But after the first few times, I started to run Into a problem. I could join any server (even the ones I used previously) just fine and then play about 10-30 seconds, then get an error message saying "you have been kicked from the game" and obviously as soon as I clicked "close" the game turned me back to the server browser. I read another forum saying that I should check If had connected to steam and that the problem was that I was not connected to steam. I could literally have steam (online) open and it didn't make any difference once again I am going to blame my Internet/laptop for not being good enough but please let me know If I am missing something.

also if it is the case of my laptop/wifi It should be solved at the end of the year as I might be upgrading massively :)

one last thing; I am pretty sure that mods aren't the problem as I don't use any mods for multiplayer.

If you have any tips for my to improve my fps please tell me as well :)

If you play on any modded server make sure u have the right mods for it. Otherwise. If ur playing the development build,/Sneak peak prview of arma 3. make sure to Update it since it came an updaye for it like 4 hrs ago orso. also make sure to verify game cashe. I cant find any other sollution m8.

If this dont work. Try to reinstal battleeye? Sounds stupid but you have to test everything that works! ;D
You can reinstall battleeye inside your Arma 3 folder located at steamapps/commons/Arma3

How is your ping on the servers? Most of them have auto kick enabled if you get >200 and becaues you are from NZ, this could be the case.

Sorry for you having problems playing. First off, If you're using wireless on that laptop stop using it that way. hook up a Cat5 cable to it too play on line. Trying to use Wireless for any online games is & will cause bad performance.

#2 here's a video that's good for any computer, even laptops.. Skip to 56 miniutes first and make sure your laptop is set up correct . if you hve a second computer to watch video while working on 7 checking your laptop would be good. You can stop & play video.

I get anything from 90 ping right through to 250 depending on what server I am on yet if I play on a 90 ping server I still get kicked :\

I will try to play on a server today with no differences to yesterday and see whether it works (I think it was just bad wifi lol) I will see If it works. If not then I will look into a cable of some sort (maybe cat5) and maybe I will be able to play from there

also the reason why I don't use cable is because in my room does not have an output for internet cables.

you guys have suggested heaps so thank you to all that have suggested fixes ;)

I will try my best to do most if not all of the suggestions and hopefully something will work!!!

Steam - Settings - InGame - InGame Server Broswer - Max Pings Per Minute - Turn down to 250
Steam - Settings - Downloads - Uncheck Allow Downloads During Game Play
Google Chrome - Settings - Show Advanced Settings - System - Uncheck Continue running background apps when Goole Chrome is Closed

I'm a big noob on the technology side of things but is it possible for you to leave a comment on the upside of me getting a cat5 cable? I know that it improves gameplay online but will it reduce my ping? Or reduce lag? I am in a position to buy a cable and route it to my laptop but does it have a high chance of solving my problem?

Okay so Its been a while but I have been working on this a little... I have narrowed It down to BattlEye as I can play on a BattlEye disabled server but none with BattlEye I also recently had an error message In the game about BattlEye when I tried to join a server. I have stopped playing on wifi and I am now using an ethernet cable. It helps with the lag and the ping but yet my problem remains (with BattlEye). I tried everything on this page and on others too. Since my discovery of what the problem actually was I have tried nothing simply because I have not dealt with an anti-cheat software kicking me before so I have no Idea for a fix. Also, bear in mind that I am a very big noob when it comes to software, files and computers In general. also now it kicks me as soon as my player loads in.

please suggest anything that could work

Check your Firewall setting for Windows or your Anti-virus software. Make sure Battleye is included in the exceptions list and is allowed through your firewall.

The other thing you can do is open Add remove programs and remove battleye and re-download from here and re-install it.

Download both the Windows client and the BE sevice for windows. Make sure you pick the right one for your OS 32 bit or 64 bit.

The other thing is checking your Router/Modem as it also has a firewall, and ports that need to be open for both BE and Arma3 to work correctly. Call your ISP for help with changing these setting, as they will be able to help faster than us posting back and forth. I have mine firewall disabled and port forwarding is opened.

It sounds like it is something with your router or modem causing you to disconnect possibly. Have you tried resetting both of them.

OK one more thing to do, to fix it. Click on search and the put in sfc.exe when it comes up right click on it and run as administrator.
