I was dissapointed as well.
So it can't get more user friendly :P
All mission involve you doing most of the killing.
Some more than others and two stand out like mad though...you will know which ones when you reach them.
Placeholder sounds about right.
It's not even officially released yet...Maybe they wanted to just test the coop stability before adding AI?
And the campaign is boring, not compareable with the East Wind campaign which is superb.
They are listening to feedback but ...
I would be all day here writing what he said, but basically pure SP people like me and you are not the target demographic anymore because they noticed a lot of people don't know that Arma 3 has an official campaign or scenarios or anything they only belive it to be training with Mp the only official content or something like that.
Basically from the looks of it, from here on out their sp content will be focused on Co op and Mp from what I'm reading here which is to say disapointing.
So they ain't including Ai team mates because it's something criticised from people despite it working fine in the excellent East wind campaign.
You can find this response here on page 7, I put 8 by accident
https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/192300-co-op-campaign-apex-protocol/page-8
I'd probably be up for it. Only a few friends of mine ended up getting Apex. Send an add and we can play it later.
Key quotes from zipper5 on page 7 marked by **'. **While they are no doubt capable of feats perhaps considered impossible in other games, it's sometimes difficult for many players to look past their weaknesses. Early on in Apex's development we decided to focus all our energy on players co-operating with each other, and have Commanding sit this one out this time.**
So because of all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of all the ai's on the forums. They decide to leave it out.
A good commander dosent suffer the "flaws" of the ai because they know how to command.
Heres another beauty...**as that would mean a solo player would fail the mission each time they were killed. They wouldn't have a chance to call a friend for help, and they'd have to play through the whole mission again. This was indeed the case in Firing From Vehicles, and we felt this was definitely not how we wanted to facilitate solo play in Apex Protocol.**
So dying a loading a save game is bad now...like its been in games seen like...forever.
Not sure where their logic is coming from.
