Worth a buy as solo player?

Nah, It sucks singleplayer, There are 'scenarios' and you can make your own and stuff aswell. But multiplayer is where its at..

Singleplayer will get you used to the mechanics, ready for multiplayer.
Yes there are many `scenarios` but you will die alot if you have not got the basics, hence singleplayer.
And singleplayer only sucks if you are playing it wrong.

Its good for soloplayers, however if you want to find people to play with try www.altislife.co.uk plenty of people there wanting to team up and not just in Altis Life :)

Believe me, there is. All of my Arma 2 time is single player, and my first 100 hours of arma 3 was also single player before I ever tried multiplayer.

check my hours on the game half of that is probably in singleplayer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with the mission editor its pretty fun

Yes. SP is completely viable in this game. There is a wealth of SP missions already around and with the editor it is extremely easy to throw something together quickly and dive straight into.

MP OFC is where I believe ArmA really shines, though, but usually not in the Public MP scene unless you restrict yourself to the better run (i.e. whitelisted) servers.
