Arma 3
Port forwarding failed
So I've been trying to port forward Arma 3 to host a server, But it keeps on saying that it failed.
I already have entered the firewall exceptions and tried to disable it, and forwarded 2302-2305.

Please help I've been trying to fix this for a long time

Have you checked that the forward IP is the same as your client IP?

Where can I check?

On your router where you made the port forward?

For the Client IP is it Ipv4 ? Because I can not find it anywhere

1. give your PC a static IP
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/19249/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-in-xp-vista-or-windows-7/

2. create a port forward rule on your router, use the static IP you assigned

3. open those ports in the windows firewall

Im going to give it a try and I'll let you know, What about the DMZ? Should I set that to my static IP?

If you want your PC to be a open for everyone and be a high security risk, sure ;)

And if it doesn not work then you did something wrong. Are the ports set to UDP?

So should I use TADST? or just standard hosting because I dont know how to change it to 2302-2305 instead of 2302-2303. I already have it set to 2302-2305 In the router

If you haven't set up the port forward and the firewall rule properly then TADST will not work anyway.

ok, for anyone that reads this trying to learn how to do this.. login to your modem/routers gateway.usually find the login details printed on back of the router device... go to advanced settings or where ever firewall rules or games and services etc. till you find port forwarding and maybe port triggering aswell for some. open port forwarding. now you have to ADD a new service and Name it - Arma3 put in start port 2302 end port 2303. set the protocol to BOTH. Also put in your WAN / IP usually something like 192.168.01 for example.

To find your IP go to start menu- type in the search - CMD and press Enter. then type ipconfig press enter. this will tell you your IPV4 that your friends need to connect with. then ADD another service name it Steam And put in start port 2304 end port 2305 protocol BOTH and IP etc. click APPLY .. if you have any further troubles it has been a antivirus Firewall or sometimes Windows firewall can block Arma3 or steam.make sure they are allowed in the firewalls inbound and outbound rules.. or disable your antivirus firewall. try not to disable windows firewall, also check that it is allowed through the windows firewall...via allow program through firewall in control panel security etc... good luck hope this helps someone in need....

The firewall is not the issue here, it's something else. I already tried 2302-2305 and it didn't work. Neither did 2302-2303 & 2304-2305
