HEAT rounds?
HEAT stands for high explosive anti tank but it does not seem to be very good at anti tank. could i be using it wrong? anything helps. ;)

Most tanks have spaced/reactive armour, therefore exploding the projectile before it hits the actual armour of the tank. HEAT is best used for taking out lighter vehicles/important components (engine, tracks, roof of the tank)

Also known as ceramic armour:

With HEAT rounds attacking the rear if at all possible for tanks is best since this is the least armored area vs. the front and sides for absorption of rounds

HEAT rounds used to be widely used in anti-tank rounds and anti-tank rockets. With anti-tank rockets and missiles being so common in the form of things like the RPG-7, lots of effort was put into making better countermeasures. Today we are back to mainly shooting a hunk of metal really fast at a tank as the best way to kill it.

its because most of the tanks use reactive armor, making HEAT rounds useless against tanks.
