You plant 2 bombs and wait until the first Ifrit is on it, detonate them. Order your teammates to open fire and to regroup. Peek out of your cover and take out the truck driver. After that take out the other 4 CSAT that are in the last Ifrit (that car isn't armed). You can force them out with destroying ther tires.
And if you are already having problems with Supply Network, you will have much fun with Bingo Fuel and Preventive Diplomacy ;) especially Bingo Fuel is considered the most difficultt mission in the campaign (which I also verify)
Don't give up! Keep on ;)
I'm trying to do this mission for like 3 hours now and simply gave up after the point where the camp is attacked when you delivered the supply truck. Again the AI does nothing besides dying. I do loose half my squad anyway, because every time the first missile hits where they parked their vehicle. But try to get away from the camp seems near impossible. Shots from severeal directions, aproaching armed vehicles from the north and the west and several choppers fireing at your position if you are more then a few seconds in the open.
This mission just makes me angry and at this point, I really regretting putting any money into this game. Should have stayed back at arma 2.
Of course, the first few times, I got splattered silly by the OP grenade launchers on the armored vehicles (in terms of learning curve, the game should have given some clues or more time to prepare).
I set the squad to Stealth mode, which is the best in many circumstances. This way, they should avoid being detected, yet will snipe enemies if you miss some on your flanks (presuming you place them a distance behind you).
The explosive charges allow to get rid of one of the fearsome Ifrits (MRAP vehicle) from the start! (oof!) Then, if you are lucky, your team is not in the line of sight of the other ones.
After that, you have no time limit, so you carefully use rockets or grenades (from handheld launchers) on the other Ifrits.
Once I got the hang of it, I found the mission fun and was proud when I made it. Initially, I was of course in WTF! mode.
This game is hard. If it is not the grenade launcher that gets me, it is one of the 30+ AI with super eyes (a few of which are SpecOPs). I wish I had more time to set-up the ambush.
1) The original ambush spot I had selected was much better then the new one I tried afterwards. The original and successful position was close to the action; the terrible position was trying to fight from far (the MRAP grenade launcher and their SpecOPs win at far range).
2) Using the excellent voice command tool called Articulate made for ARMA 3.
https://github.com/Mpstark/articulate/wiki
3) Fixed my Optics and Zoom In keybindings : they are confusing as f... in Arma 3. In my original set-up, I could only zoom in once. Even without a scope, you can zoom in a few times while aiming with any rifle or smg. Using a full X2 scope made it much better for me anyhow.
- Temporary Optics : right mouse (all other Optics options/keybinds are clear-empty)
- Zoom In : key of your choice ; I use Space. All other zoom options/keybinds are clear-empty.
With a better position and better aiming, I got them all (rockets on the MRAPs) and stole one of their MRAPS (with full squad onboard). The supply truck reached its destination, but I went in the small base where it is parked and conquered.
To begin with, I highly discourage the use of any cheat or mod menu, even though it's legal since it's a modification to the game and not ripping anyone off, it completely ruins the game as a military simulator and you'll lose skill and won't be able to develop key instincts, you won't learn situational awareness, how to plan ambushes with what you're given, commanding a squad effectively, or evading threats too big to deal with head on. On this mission, just eliminate the first Ifrit (Whichever has the mounted RCWS) and try your very best to eliminate the driver of the supply truck. I would recommend saving right before the convoy appears, and remember to order your squad to open fire once you destroy the Ifrit with a placed explosive.
I'm fairly certain you're new to the genre correct?
Take the quad and leave from the back of the house. After a while leave the quad an move on foot. Also failed 100 times till I managed to success
