How to play battle royale and other multiplayer game modes?

I'm sure hundreds of other people have asked this question but I was unable to find any answers so I'm going to ask again (sorry in advance).

How do you join/play multiplayer sessions (battle royale inparticular), all of the servers I try to join have a red dot to the left of their name saying that I lack the required signatures and even when I do manage to find a server which allows me to aleast start the joining process I get a message telling me a bunch of mods are missing and that I lack the required signatures.

So long story short, how do I join multiplayer games such as battle royale that don't require a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mods, thankyou :)

PS: I don't own any of the expansions for arma 3

to play battle royale, you need to search in the steam workshop and subscribe to a addon/mission(i forgot what it was under but just search) called battle royale, it should be by someone named PLAYERUNKNOWN, then when its done, click play on arma 3 in steam, go to the mods tab, enable/check battle royale, then click play and find a battleroyal server.

With the new DLC strategy for ArmA III, you don't have to own the DLC to access any MP game modes. There are restrictions on what you can do with the assets from the DLC but this shouldn't be a concern for you.

For accessing the servers you will need to install the MODs that are being used on that particular server. This can be a barrier to new players but it is also the main advantage of ArmA III as a platform.

There have been a lot of messages refering to the A3Launcher[a3launcher.com] to manage this process of downloading the required MODs for a server and connecting. Unfortunately I have no experience with this program, but I'm sure that someone who does will post here with better details for you.

Ya, I have PLAYERUNKOWN'S battle royale mod download but I still haven't had any luck in joining any servers that don't require a preset list of like 12 mods to play.

to play BR you have to unload all mods except for BR (unless you're doing the iron front lite thing). So, make sure for BR that BR is the only mod loaded.

Also, using the built in Arma 3 launcher, when you click play in steam, let the launcher complete it mod update process before proceeding into the game, otherwise you may get errors.
