You want to just see something in your player's hand instead of a gun, or you going to chop plants? If it's the latter... why? Not to navigate- you can do that just fine without having to run after trees and give them a wack.

It is possible to create melee combat (DayZ mimics melee combat), though stealth does not work very well against AI.

Why would you even use melee, when you have guns? And don't tell me it's "unrealistic" or some ♥♥♥♥ to not have melee weapons. Real soldiers use their knifes as tools not weapons as far as I know.
