Mature Exile server? / Exile requirements/specs?
Okay, i'm looking for something that may or may not exist anymore to be honest.

First off i'm trying to get into Exile and wanted to find a good mature server that lacks the childish antics of other servers i'v seen. Said antics that i consider childish would be trolling, insulting people over voice, new person or "noob" hate in chat/voice, and i think people get the general idea.

Now for my own personal opinion/issues. I'm also looking to get away from constant Kill on sight and i don't mean just me getting killed, that's part of the game and part of survival. I would just like to see more thought in when people kill another person. I am in no way looking for a no pvp server but i am looking for a more mature thought process other than the "kill everything that moves because they have loot and or are just alive".

Maybe a server with these specifications does not exist, maybe it does, but i have had no luck finding one yet if so hence the reason i am asking here in hopes that someone knows of a good server with at least a mature playerbase. Thank you in advance to anyone that can help me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Going to split this into two questions. The other would be a basic idea based on other players computers as to what i need to improve my current fps which has been around 25 on standard.

My specs are - Windows 7 64 bit, AMD FX 8350 4.0 , 12gb ram, GTX 770 2gb

Must be your CPU ( get intel)or maybe just ♥♥♥♥ servers you're playing on.
Your GPU is fine and wont really help by upgrading it.
Ram is fine.
Add an SSD for arma if you dont have one.

The server I play on averages around 50-60 FPS can go as high as 80 FPS at times. Some servers are just ♥♥♥♥. They are all going to have KOS. Why would you let someone live? Even a freshspawn will have their hands on high end weapons withing 2 minutes of spawning, so if you let them live they'll just shoot you. Trying to find a server with a good community is probably your best option, everyone will kill eachother but therell be less trolling and sometimes people will let you get your gear back.

Hm true I guess kos is something I won't get away from, but a good community is the thing I'm having trouble finding. I'll just continue to look about, see what I find as far as a better community than I have ran into and a more stable server. Thanks for the advice :).

there was another thread yesterday saying something about setting some settings with AMD CPU's which would improve fps. something about arma not using a correct cashing method on amd cpu's or something, leading to it using a default method, which doesn't work causing ai stutter and other minor havoc... or something like that - thread was called something along the lines of "help using AMD" it was a relatively high spec computer otherwise with GTX980 and having problems with the fps

if you're in the process of updating your computer, simple answer get intel (not being a fan boy here). games overall tend to support intel better than amd. i'm using GTX970, on windows 10 (that update was interresting, took a leak, and came back to my computer and it's proudly announcing that my windows 10 is almost ready :D)

But yeah, the primary way you're ever gonna get an FPS boost is by going Intel, or, if you don't have that option, overclock your CPU. I've slightly OC'd my AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition (3.2 -> 3.5GHz), and I've gotten a bit of a boost. Not a big one, mind you, but a boost nonetheless.

As for servers, I'd suggest going to PvE servers with roaming AI. You're not gonna get trolled by d!ckbag players (...most of the time), but you'll still have that air of "what if there's a squad of AI just around the next corner/in the next town/city?", especially if they're allowed to spawn with launchers or in vehicles. These servers also have AI missions in varying difficulty. Some servers cater to the more "veteran" players, and as such, have more difficult/hardcore missions than easier ones.

Either you go PvE like UBE said, or search around for a closed community with a whitelisted server. But not sure if that even exists. Also you could give the Red Venus RPG mod a try. Search in the workshop but there wasnt much activity over the last days I think.

I'm glad and thankful for the help, and it's great to see no one yelling at me to go play a casual game if I can't handle it, even though that's not the point or case in this situation. I might try a pve server, see how it goes and hope it's a better experience than some other survival based games pve servers. At the moment trying out the cGs pvp server and it seems ok so far...I think... On another note I did some tinkering and got my fps up to 30-40 which is playable more or less.

It is well known that Exile is populated by a vast amount of immature adults and kids.

Alot of adults play these games to let iff some steam and have a bit of fun. It may come across as immature but it is just a game after all. Its not real....
