Report a translation problem
Mine was caused by a faulty Ram slot,
ARM3 is not the most stable of games...
This game is broken and completely unstable...
Constant crashes with little or no explanation...
1. Run dxdiag.exe it will check your hardware for correct drivers for video, sound, and mouse. Check for errors if you find any reinstall the DX that comes with Arma3 from here.

I have carefully followed the steps in this guide but sadly I'm still having problems. Infact since following this guide I now how new issues to company the old ones.
I'm just going to forget ARM3.

This is very true, I hope you get it sorted :).. keep trying to get back to task manager if you can, there should be an error code pop up..
I had to alt tab out 8-10 times before finally getting back to desktop,
My error code was: visual driver has stoped working and has recovered,
Thought it was my graphic card,but like I said above it was my ram at fault,I wouldt rule out hardware failure thou,

3. Start Arma3 in "Safe Mode" to see if it loads without HW acceleration
You can run the Arma 3 Launcher in Safe Mode by pressing and holding Ctrl + Shift before running the Launcher and releasing them once the Launcher starts.
Or you can start the launcher with the -safemode parameter.
In Safe Mode, you can disable HW acceleration for the Launcher (you will be asked when entering Safe Mode - or via the checkbox on the Launcher's Options page).

You can start the launcher with -nohwa parameter to switch it automatically into software rendering mode.
To run the Memory Diagnostics Tool manually
Open Memory Diagnostics Tool by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Memory, and then click Diagnose your computer's memory problems. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Choose when to run the tool.

Yeah I don't have any idea how to fix it sadly. I'm still trying to find a work around.
If I manage to figure it out I will let you know.
