Destroyable bridges!
It would be nice if BI add destroyable bridges to the game and editor....we could create some interesting tactic and black ops scenarios....not to mention how usefull it would be on TANOA where are multiple islands o the same map and it would be some of the main tactic factors

And i would like it only if it doesn't cause problems to the game stability, me either don't want it if would be buggy....
if it wasn't buggy it would have no place in arma, yeah people responding above are right that the physics wouldn't represent it accurately though.

Destroyable bridges already exist in Arma 2 and they are a part of CUP Terrains Core

not surprising to be honest, you'd be surprised how much of most maps can be destroyed with satchel charges.

at the same time though, it could work so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ better built into a3 itself and not needing a mod or special map for it.

I dont like cup terrains so much, if they add it into a a3, great! If not, still fine! I try to avoid mods as much is possible

Ribbon, If you subscribe to the "Cup Terrain Maps" and use the Sahrani map - you can use a Large Urban IED to set a bridge demolition. It even takes out only the sections you need - I'm setting up a Res Dem Gd mission.

I was sure I saw craters, into the ground in an early arma 3 vid but they didn't make it into game. I have heard since that it is very taxing on the multiplayer servers and your own connection.

Would love a destructible bridge, now I see that that somehow screws everything up so I am going to try a trigger that would delete the bridge piece if an explosive is exploded on it.

I have CUP, all of it. I place a wooden bridge section, place 11 WWII explosives on it, blow them all up, no destruction. So I guess its just with modern explosives. Or is it just with the bridges that are on the map already?

This won't work because ai needs a road to drive on. If a bridge with a road gets destroyed... the roadpiece would float... I really hope in arma 4 you will be able to make this ai pathfinding better. It is not an issue with vehicles.
