Do not buy a laptop to play games. Buy a desktop instead. If you want to play games, you get a desktop.

More specifically, don't buy a laptop for Arma 3. Some of those gaming laptops will run console ports just fine, but Arma and other PC exclusive titles will probably run like ♥♥♥♥♥

Also they're WAAAYYY overpriced for the performance you get and very limited upgradeability

I have a MSI GT70 with a 4GIG video card its runs fine with almost everything set to high to very high view distance set to 5000 Mtrs.

Dont listen to the desktop trols :P not thats theres anything wrong with Desktops, its just not practical for some of us to have them.

Yeah some people still live in the 90's and think laptops can't run anything. Many gaming laptops can outperform desktops and/or be on par with desktops these days.

Of course if you want to get maximum performance benefits desktop is the clear winner, but gaming laptops have alot adittional benefits. I can run my steam library either maxed/very high/high settings, depending of the game. This baby doesn't take much space and I can pack it with me on a trip if I so desire. You can't pack a desktop with you conveniently :D

actually i happen to build and program comps and laptops are no good for gaming they over heat, cost to much, have a scrunchy usless keybord with no num pad if they break down or get dusty you cant do anything with them for upgrading hardly. They are easy for people to steal and or drop on and on i could go. and one last thing my desktop can out preform ANY laptop anyday and for 1000$ less and i can work on the thing myself easily and CHEAPLY. My desktop was custom built by me and does not have bundle crap software you cant get rid of. If my keybord breaks or gets old 50$ gets me a new one on a laptop your whole system is screwed (same with monitor) on and on i could go about it clearly if you want a GOOD gaming system that will last for years to come desktop is the way to go. OR you could be another sucker and give all that up for "portability" seems pretty stupid to me.....just saying.
