Can't target / lock vehicle.

Hello everyone.
I restarted playing A3 and starting with testing the new a10 A3 edition aaand im having some big issue with the game and or the plane.
I can't lock AA missile at all...
I've got my key binded correctly but even if i press tab or T it do nothing at all.
Im playing the showcase mission, im at 400m behind the heli and nothing at all and yes im switched to the AA missile...
Am i missing something or there's a key i need to choose for??

haven't been flying for a while, but yesterday got some air time on a public server and noticed the same thing, aa almost impossible to lock, ag locks sometimes but rarely, it's screwed up bad

Locking targets while flying a plane is "R".

ok i used to use T and it worked fine, i guess they changed it or what?

Its not broken you just have to be aiming directly at what you want to target otherwise it wont lock. You press what ever key Lock Target is bound to.

Still doesnt work i was aiming directly at the helo and nothing worked at all my lock target is T and i spammed the ♥♥♥♥ of it and nothing worked :l

Configure -> Controls -> Weapons -> Next target (in vehicle)

Use the key shown there. It's "R" by default.

i have played arma 3 for a long time and found that if you go to about 700-1000m up and fly down at the target it will lock it does not work all the time but it is better then not locking

I've been playing ARMA since the first version came out. ARMA3 used to work, target, auto lock and such even had threat indicators on tanks that worked. You could be the commander and tell the gunner to target a threat and he would target and fire but not anymore. The R and the designated target button on the joystick no longer work. What happened? How do we fix this?

I might add that none of the auto lock, targeting, fire and forget works. Not even when you are looking right at a target, will no longer work. Hand held guided missiles must now be guided by holding the gun-sight on the target until missile hits target. Marking target with the right mouse key no longer works either.

Is this still a thing? After recently purchasing ARMA 3, I've been unable to target enemy vehicles in the 1-164. R T are bound and used, but, targets are not found.

I have been able to lock onto a target that has been lasered, though.

Still got this problem. I tried R and T, nothing works. Handheld lunchers work sometimes but aa missles or gbu's cant lock.

What you running with mods? Try rebinding it to maybe your extra mouse buttons? Since I run mods I had to go to my mouse buttons.
It also depends on what’s attached to your aircraft. It’s the x-9s/winesiders or whatever I believe are the only lock on.
You have to see what your load out is on the aircraft, or you’re out of range.
Turn your radar on as well.
Go through normal procedures to fire up and turn everything on.

I don’t know if you guys still these information, if you want to lock on something you should aim directly with infrared ( left ctrl+ right click to enter kill cam mode) if the target is appeared in your sensor or radar you press R or T to lock on them ( 50/50 chance to lock on ) but if you’re using kill cam to lock on, almost 100% to lock on. One last thing, trees and bush can be used as infrared jammer so you can’t lock on them or harder to lock on the target.
