Bought arma 3 and my zeroing isnt working regardless of what gun or sight i use, please help im extremely frustrated

Hi guys, i bought Arma 3 a few week's ago and played it a lot and love the game, i then went and bought all the expansions..

Unfortunately however the zeroing aspect, while using any scope's on many different gun's won't work for me, and never has.

In my gun controls it say's to use page up or page down to adjust the zeroing, or left control and scroll wheel but neither work for me.

In multi player servers all the players say the same and that it should work, i even tried buying the same guns and scopes as other player used and it still didn't work..

Ive searched many forums and youtube vid's but to no avail, so im now turning to you guys..

If anyone could help me it would be really appreciated, im sure you could understand how frustrating it could be to buy a sniper and scope and not be able to adjust the range...

Hmmm, I initially thought it may be a keyboard where one has to use the function key to make Pgup etc work.

First thing, do those keys function as they should in other apps?

Some scopes have a locked, fixed zeroing point. Meaning you can't change the zeroing on, for example the RCO can't be zeroed.

This is true, but OP states he/she has tried the same ones as chums to no effect.

zeroing only works when you have iron sight or a sniper scope like the SOS. MCO, RCO, ERCO, and so forth have a fixed zeroing. Id say for starters just go into the arsenal and get an MX no scope and try.

if you're using special keys for it, try launching your keyboard software as admin.

I think the first thing to try should be to rebind the keys to something else, a key you know works in the game for something else.

Example: O = watch/clock(I think its a standard keybind)

So remove the watch keybind, go to zeroing and add the O button for zeroing up and test if you can raise the zeroing distance..

Or in reverse, add page up/down to functions that WORK in game already, if you can bring up the compass without problems, add page up/down to "compass" and see if you can get that to work on page up/down keys.

I mean, does the game even recognize the page up/down keys if you try to rebind them to something?


Edit: the point is to find out if its something wrong with they keys or if some other program is perhaps intercepting the commands from the keys so it never reaches Arma 3 in the first place.

HI guys thanks for all the info, my Keyboard was the issue ive got a razer mouse and kb and that blasted synapes spftware always causes me issues.. its all fixed thanks to youre help..

Muchly apreciated.. now i can go back to losing time in arma3 and not being so frustarated about it :)

I can't adjust zeroing whatsoever in ARMA 3 virtual reality training, and worst of all, it's not my keyboard because my keyboard doesn't have the above mentioned software, whenever I press page up to adjust zeroing, I hear a click, but nothing happens, would someone tell me what's going on?

Try remapping the keys. Eg, because of a crossover/conflict, I changed mine to ctrl pg up and ctrl pg down.

Having the same issue after installing Ace 3. The zeroing control no longer works, it seems intended to work with the mods scope adjustments instead of default zeroing up and down but I have unchecked the mod and re launched the game and my zeroing command no longer works, I have reset the bind too.

Zeroing was working fine before Ace 3, but this time it broke
