[HELP] Buying Arma 3 Apex Edition (Need some info)

Hey Guys need some quick info here.

So I already own Arma 3 and really want the overpcied DLC and the AMRA 3 Apex Edtion makes it look quite tastey as a deal.

The problem is I already own ARMA 3 so 'd be wasting money by buying it a 2nd time. So it would be awesome to get ARMA 3 for a mate of mine.

Is there any way I can buy the APEX edition give the ARMA 3 game to my mate then give me the DLC? Sadly ARMA 3 the base game cannot go in your inventory due to VAC.

If I gift the ARMA 3 Apex Edition to him I guess he will get ALL the DLC automatically added to his account right? and not his inventory

You are correct with the last part, if you gift it to him when he activates the gift he gets both the game and everything, afaik there is no way to "split" it.. similarly if you buy it the Arma 3 part goes *poof* since you already own it :(

Apex expansion aka dlc is 29,99€ and arma3 apex edition is 59.99€, arma 3 base game is 35€ so you want to save 5€.......
Just skip one pint of beer and buy apex dlc to yourself and your bff can buy arma 3 for 35€.....i belive it's the only way

That's not a bad way a round it but for me in GBP it's 24.99 for apex DLC and 29.99 for ARMA 3 = to 54.98 much more than the APEX Edition at just 44.99
Apex also has the Chopper and marksmen DLC.

Just that i'm spening more for less to some degree.
