You got over 600 hours experience, so I am not quiet sure what you are talking about.
If you were 20 hours in, I would guess you were looking for virtual arsenal.

Can you describe your problem more precisely?

no not virtual arsenal. My role is a Squad leader, I want to be a combat life saver so I can heal my teammates as an example or be an engineer and fix vehicles.

Afaik this is set by the mission maker. You can get a pbo-manager to unpack the mission and change it in the editor by yourself.
