Arma 3
Coop is dead?
Are there any ways left to play with friends in 2022? I want to play scenarios, but there dont seem to be ways to play your own scenarios or missions. Port forwarding does not work, and there are no more programs like hamachi to allow the use of lan. Are there any ways left to play that aren't on an official server?

Well you have to port forward one port if you want to be the host.
Otherwise you now have a harder time with VPN networks like Hamachi and what not as Microsoft have taken out some useful features in the network stack, such as setting a primary adapter to use.
This means you can get the games stuck trying to use the non port forwarded adapter :(

So you may either have to figure out why your port forwarding failed, double NAT is a potential enemy here in the lack of IPV4 addresses.
Or play with friends that can host the game and have the knowledge of networking.

I am impressed, no copy pasted milsim group spam.

If you or your mates can't get your head around port forwarding then you could rent a cheap A3 server and run Co-op scenarios on that, it would also improve the performance for everyone playing:steamthumbsup:

Coop is very much alive. Its just hard to find the players right for you. So what i did was make my own.

As for server hosting. Hamachi is pretty old and outdated. Something similar to hamachi but way better and easy to use is RadminVPN. This is the more modern version of Hamachi.

Instead of Hamachi, use ZeroTier. It works great.

Check out this video that covers all of thw different ways to host a coop game

I dunno if i port forwarded in the past and thats why i dont have issues...

But ever since they added that Upnp checkbox to the hosting screen its always worked fine for me.

Are you defo checking that box when creating the server OP?

(UPnP) is ISP / Router dependant, Works for a lot of players and don't work for a lot of players, the likelihood is you never port forwarded it's just (UPnP) just works for you.
