On the main menu, there's a drop down list to the right of the Arma logo in the middle-top of the screen. This drop down list is to the left of 'Options,' I forget it's actual name. Click 'Virtual Arsenal' and you will have access to every uniform, weapon, vest, vehicle, etc. in the game. You can even try anything from the DLC's without owning them.
Virtual Arsenal has respawning targets that turn orange or red based on how much damage (if any) you dealt. They are at different distances, you can see their exact positions on the map (toggle with M). They get the same loadout you currently have, so if you want to find out how much protection your vest gives versus your currently-equipped rifle, just shoot any of the targets.
Make sure to check your inventory and attachments on the right side of the screen. Selecting a weapon (top three buttons on the top-left side of the screen) will show a list of attachments for optics, flashlights/lasers, silencers and bipods. Clicking on your uniform, vest and backpack will show the inventory of that item.
Experiment as much as you like; check out vehicles by clicking the big button at the top of the screen. When ever you like, hit Escape to go back to the Arsenal (and modify your vehicle / loadout), or use Options to change your keybinds and such. Also while you're learning what you're doing, it may be worth selecting the graphics quality preset of 'Medium' or 'Low' just so you get more than enough FPS to get a good feel for movement and such.
Sorry if this is a bit jumbled and hard to understand, but trust me, you'll lose yourself for at least an hour if you go into the Virtual Arsenal experimenting with stuff. Oh yeah and your character is invincible in the Arsenal, so have fun rocket jumping or placing 50 explosive charges and simultaneously detonating them all.
When you think you've got a good understanding of driving cars/trucks, moving around as infantry and shooting (and have good graphics settings), find a co-op server. Preferably, you want to join an Invade & Annex server (it's usually in the name of the server, rather than being listed as a game mode) and take an unimportant role like Grenadier or Rifleman.
In Side Chat or Direct Chat, once you spawn in say that you're new and want some tips. Most people in Invade & Annex world wide are nice people willing to help new players, and even if you make a big mistake, some people will be angry and others will laugh (because they made that mistake themselves). It's no big deal if you make mistakes in Invade & Annex, which is why I say play there, because most other game modes are fairly high-stakes, with vehicles people have to buy or long respawn times or other penalties for mistakes.
I hope at least something here helps!

There is a ton of mods to have endless fun on workshop so go ahead. I would recommend to get C2B to better command AI which can be pain from time to time.
If you want more realism and proper challenge with more in deep medical system, balistics, jamming and cook offs get ACE. Once you get adjusted to ACE you are not gonna play without it that something I can promise.
Have a fun and good luck, maybe try MP but I invested maybe few hours in it and spend most of my time in SP.
Thank you that was it. PERFECT
Yeah I like this idea, I used to be a big on mulitplayer. But I see arma 3 guys do alot of single player, and they have their own custom style modes and such. Since I started gaming arma 3 ive been exploring arma 3 single player its better than I thought.
