this SCENARIO is just not suited very well for SP gameplay. sadly.......
and i really wish these sort of problems will get looked at by the devs ASAP.
you cant just give the player "random tasks" just for the sake of more variety without even testing your missions and this very much seems to be the case here.
money and equipment management is very cumbersome and not suited well for SP play.
also, there are like small companies of enemies to fight in some missions but all we get is max 5 soldiers to accomplish them.....not to forget how often there are enemy vehicles by surprise but appropriate weapons to fight them off are scarce or just randomised to find.
also either give us the approriate number of friendlies and weapons/equipment or reduce the number of enemies and their firepower!
and how about some chapters instead of only ONE main gamefile, in case something gets unhandy. you know, like bugs or so ruining the whole gamefile?
thanks....
I don't mind rolling up onto a mission and scouting an area to then fight an APC I can either hear or see but I stopped playing this DLC when me and a friend loaded into Pegasus to just get a quick insert to then getting shot down by an APC situated literally over the hill from the little PMC Base. From that point we tried to complete our mission and were met with funny ARMA AI that kill you as soon as you poke your head out because they are hyper intelligent.
in this gamemode the AI difficulty seems to be fixated on some very hard difficulty by the mission creator.
Leave team mates at base. Tailor gear for long range sniping. Sit off in the dunes baking in the heat and taking pop shots as I circle the AO. When they're thinned out enough I ease in and find some high ground to finish the stragglers and wait for the back-up. So far it's been working. Friendly AI are inept. Enemy AI were coded by Morpheus and Neo.
Currently stuck on the 'Clear the Mines' mission. A mine is in some rubble and I can see it on the detector, but I can't mark it. Good times. C4 charge isn't enough and I don't have a satchel.
Good times.
You are talking about playing this in SP? How did you get extra men? it seemed like you could only have 3 Ai Squad mates. Although perhaps you can unlock a few more later on? i havent gotten far due to be wiped out all the time to APCs etc.
Also I noticed there are vehicle ammo boxes and fuel barrels around helipad, never had a chance to refill there, but I just liberated a CSAT IFV in the minefield. Will try it later.
I also found a repair HEMTT truck in UN base.
Need anything else?
