Prairie Fire worth?

Just started playing again was wondering if any multiplayer servers are populated with this DLC? Checked the server browser but I'm not seeing any with this DLC. Wondering is this worth me buying because I really like the Vietnam aspect just curious are people playing it?

prairie fire is an optional dlc and is therefore always aggressively degrading in value over time. if you see no servers using it - that is a bad sign that it's lifespan has run out (sustaining a playerbase using only optional DLC content becomes difficult as it locks people behind paywalls)

up to you to make that call. the sad reality is that despite being one of the better optional dlc's it's lifespan is always gonna be limited. i am sure you can find units that use the mod but you should research said units first.

Needs more content/updates, it has potential but for now i wouldnt recommend it.

There are public Mike Force servers, some are hosted by the devs other by communties, Bro Force community is probably the biggest.
Just search for "Mike Force" in the server browser and sort by player number.
As of now there is still a healthy playerbase on those public servers. And there are plenty of updates to Mike Force coming too, so I expect a healthy playerbase in this year at the least.

I refunded it because loading it was too intrusive, by iniquity of changing the UI and even filtering out other campaigns because the devs decided that it doesn't make sense for them to be there.

Not a problem if you want to play the SOG campaign in its own mode or whatever, but not when you want to use the assets of the DLC elsewhere, like you can with pretty much every other mod and DLC, including Contact which is also heavily scripted and features a dedicated "full load" mode of it where the scripts work too.
But you don't have to, you can still use the assets, albeit without the scripted stuff if you just load it as a mod.

Prarie fire is good if you like playing with war machinery in the editor, the model detail quality suprasses BI's vanilla game,
Thats the only real reason I kept it.
but the multiplayer apsect is all but bought the farm, you're lucky to find a zeus server for it

i love the single player but the enemy can run through thick jungle and you cant hear them until they are on top of you i wish noise proximity was a thing.
the Story and the representation of SOG is awesome and i j have just finished John Styker Meyers Books. worth reading. the whole stealth thing i wish it was done better hopefully another game engine might do it one day.

S.O.G is my favorite DLC, there for I say it is absolutely must have DLC in Arma 3. there is a server I play on and jungle team work is awesome. Come on and check it if you decide to buy the DLC: RAW[US] Escape Khe Sanh

It was... Some of my best experience's have been with SOG but player numbers aren't the best but there is a player base for sog in particular you'll still get games in certain modes.

Best (and usual actually) sale price in the UK is £13.39 (33% off it's full £19.99). It's not quite fully worth even £13.39 though, I'd say wait till it drops below a ten spot.

What it does have is VHQ though, and a good supplement to Unsung....... as long as the Unsung doesn't get taken off the workshop to make Priarie Fire the only Hobson's choice available. They are the same devs ain't they?
