Looking for a Arma 3 DAYZ mod thats exactly like the standalone game DAYZ.
if someone has a Survival mod or something i would like that aswell.
zombies and demons mod does not add any value

Literally the only real answer, everything else on Arma 3 while having more content the features are lacking on far from as polished as DayZ SA.

most of those mods you sent are multiplayer and cannot be played in singleplayer.

Exactly like it would be DayZ SA, as others have mentioned.

The most prolific mods for A3 otherwise are: Ravage and Vandeansons Apocalypse which has Ravage as a component, but the VA on the workshop is kind of old, they're working on a whole new version that is more like DayZ.

i need a mod where i can go camping/hunting/base building without the need of multiplayer i downloaded some mods stated they dont work

Ravage and VA don't need multiplayer, and you can camp and hunt in either.
The current public version of VA also has basebuilding but the thing about basebuilding in arma is:
The AI navmesh is not affected by it, so stuff can walk through walls if you're unlucky

Exile mods base build don't have that problem :steamthumbsup:

The only thing is op would have to run a server locally from their own pc and code it to ones taste, that might be more hassle than the op is looking for.

i have Exile but i never really understood this mod besides it having more features. i own ACE mod should i enable ACE?

you'll also want Ravage to go with it if you want zombies.
Have some video on how to set it all up.
And Sgt Smash is right, you can always run a local server for yourself for MP mods. I do it all the time, but there are some caveats to it like special save states for some mods but thats something on its own.

They're all a bit lengthy, but you can save the modules you placed in the map as a custom composition in the editor and quickly reuse them with the same settings.

Not sure ace is compatible with Exile mod without a load of ball ache work arounds.

so if i wanted to play with like a friend in COOP i could just press HOST SERVER enable UDNP and make him join it right? so we could go survive together?. I'll enable Ravage like you said aswell. what if i only enable the VA mod? will it still enable me to base build and do survival/hunting but without the Zombie aspect?

Ravage = zombies + survivors + hunger/thirst survival + randomly generated world loot
VA = survivors/stalkers (stalkers hunt you, you can configure everything in the addon options for VA, have a look there they're mostly self explanatory), as well as randomly generated loot and trader camps, etc

Without Ravage , Vandeanson will have no zombies and no hunger and thirst ,but it will have everything else.

And yes to play MP, go in the editor, place two playable characters down and then you can host it like you said.

However, Ravage can be played without zombies or it's own ambient ai, by simply not placing those modules down in the editor.

The first few mission setups will take some time cause it's all new, but it gets real quick after that, as I said, you can save configured and placed modules as compositions and then quickly plop them down in other missions. If all you want is randomly generated stuff then all you gotta do is play a player, and the modules, and you're set.

downloaded both mods and played them but i see no animals nor survival. ?????
