Is the Vietnam DLC worth it for only the coop campaign?

Me and 2-3 friends are interested in the DLC but not that into ARMA Multiplayer just yet. We were looking for a coop experience against AI. Is it worth just getting it for coop?

Yes. It is primarily why I bought the DLC. Myself and a Buddy are Co oping the VC A.I., and it`s pretty much white knuckle. VERY immersive. There is alot to learn. The A.I. are very challenging, and play incharacter. They don`t feel cheap. I`d say give it a go if you are at all into Nam MilCombat stuff.

How much content is there for coop or how long is the campaign?

It might be a bit hard with just 3 players. You'll get a rather high amounts of enemies. Respawn can be enabled though.

The campaign has 6 missions but they can take quite some time.

if that isn't enough you could always do with things like recon ops, liberation or antistasi... or just look for regular missions on the workshop.

I played the first mission yesterday with my family so we where 5 people in total. I think it would have been possible with just 3 players. Just adjust the amount of respawns until you have the difficulty you want. The first mission was very well done for sure. In my opinion randomly generated missions like antistasi, liberation can't compete with a well designed mission which also offers you a story. Ussually we create our own missions but that takes a lot of time... So the DLC campaign was a big reason why we got the DLC in the first place. So far we don't regret.

i just failed one of the mission ( missing 2 of them and am done with the campaign and can go kill some viet with the BOYS) and yeah it's challenging even alone i have fun with it but if you play solo just disable the defeat condition of the whole team and if you want activate the arsenal it would give you what you want to take for the mission

Yes, this expansion is one of the best in Arma history, its PERFECT for coop. Simply amazing expansion. Get a few friends and rock these amazing coop missions, they are coop perfection.

Have done them with 3 players and with 12 players, smaller amount you just have to be a little more perfect in execution, with 12 players you can make a few more mistakes. Amazing missions though.
