Good_ShotMan, if you are playing with ACE, the binocular lists mils in tens. So if you know the width or height of an object, like ~1.7m of a standing man, you can measure how many mills he takes up using the binocular. So if you measure 8 mils for a standing man, he is 1.7m*1000 / 8 ~ 210m away.
