The GPS map always stays oriented to the north and never moves. However, the way you are facing/looking is reflected on the map. Your character is represented by a circle with a line through it. The direction the line is pointing is the direction your character is facing/looking.

That changed and now you can have the whole map turn as you do and your player marker always facing up!

On the uk layout keyboard, the keys [ and ] bring up the gps either left=[ and right=] side of your screen, once up you can press shift or control(can't remember witch) + [ or ] depending on what side of the screen you have picked, you can have both at he same time, eg left side show map turning and right player marker turning.

This also works with commander/gunner cams while in the drivers seat of vehicles

Yes, thanks for reply. Btw here is the answer. So thats how you do it. Open GPS on right or left panel, then hit the right/left panel mode and it toggles between GPS locked or moving with you. For me the button was "num lock". U should check ur button in settings.

No, it has not changed. As of version 1.82.14470, the GPS map is, and always has been, fixed, only your position changes. You must be referring to some mod, like the ShackTac User Interface.

Mine are default keys, but wasn't sure about other countries layout lol, but yeah on uk [ and ] are the gps panel keys.

Glad you got it in the end :-)

Just so neither of you would be completely right, I must point out that the old Ctrl+M GPS does not exist anymore.

I justed tested in the editor, and dropped a unit with a gps and hit Right Control+M and it still works with no mods running

You may have it mapped to another key, but [M] still brings up the map, and [Ctrl]+[M] fixes the mini-map (a.k.a. GPS) to the screen. You have a choice on which side of your window you want the mini-map displayed by using the bracket keys, but it is always in a fixed position pointing north. That has never changed.

I hate it when mods overwrite the default keys. I have the same issue with Personal Arsenal using "U" key, which is also used by Arma to switch teams. :steamfacepalm:
