Arma 3
Any other sandbox mods/missions like DUWS?
I've always primarily done DUWS but I feel like its a bit outdated and generally pretty unstable after alot of time is put into it. Anyone know of any good alternatives?

If you want to play Antistasi it works best with more people, let me know if you're interested in the community server

Dynamic Recon Ops is one of the most fun ones for me. That by itself, or sometimes with friends I'll run Echo's Sandbox Everywhere and turn it into a half dynamic half zeused mission. It's a good drop-in drop-out gamemode, no continuous progression, just completing missions. Cheers!

P.s: You can play Antistasi with friends, I recently finished a campaign on Tanoa with 4~ people. Although Antistasi is a persistent campaign, unlike DRO being a one-time scenario.

Im guessing you would recommend it and Ive seen it a fair bit so I may give it a try. DUWS just gets way to FPS heavy and breaks a lot so I want something open ended and sandbox such as that but better. I'll give those two a shot. Thanks all

Will do. Honestly that Vindicta one mentioned above looks to be right up my alley so I might try that. The only real way to get the kind of experience im looking for is to join some mil sim group...which I tried at one point.

But I was USMC infantry IRL and having some 15 year old squeakster try to act all tough and badass....it just doesnt work with me haha

Thats a pretty nifty collection there actually thanks for that

Vindicta is definatly cool. Also, Vindicta, Antistasi and Overthrow are somewhat up the same alley. Imo Overthrow is more solo friendly than the others. Theres some fancy sessions going on on the vindicta testserver, were people play as coordinated teams. Weekends mostly, i think.

Maybe look for groups that do tactical teamplay instead of Milsim. Those are often a bit more grounded and without all those wannabe-isms... ;)

Will do solid suggestions all around. I hadnt heard of the overthrow one Ill check that out as well. I started up Antistasi and Vindicta last night and realized that you cant use ACE with it but eventually got it working

Vindicta won't even work without ACE, and Antistasi works with Ace perfectly fine.

DRO is probably one of the best gamemodes for small teams. Nothing better than slipping in, taking out patrols, maintaining stealth, and assassinating the target with a smooth getaway. The demolition and clear area objectives are also great.

Not true with regard to antistasi. It kept telling me there was some kind of conflict and stopped running. I then found a article talking about how the ACE medical system caused it to be blacklisted. At least on the version of Antistasi I am playing. When I unloaded ACE it worked just fine. So thats just the way it is. Sorry.

And yes Vinidicta requires ACE and works perfectly fine you are correct. I should have separated my dialogue in regards to that.

Yeah I just ran through a quick little solo game of that with ACE and it was tons of fun! Glad someone mentioned that one as well :)

DRO is honestly a masterpiece. I use it as a testing environment for my mods, and also to gauge various factions and AI mods' strength.
