No, but you need it to fly the new jets.

What do you think, is it worth buying for 7 euros?

You need the Jets DLC to fly the Jets DLC planes, which is the A-149 Gryphon, To-201 Shikra, F/A-181 Black Wasp II and the UCAV Sentinel.

All other planes, the Wipeout, Buzzard, Neophron and others not listed can be flown without Jets DLC.

EDIT] Eli ninja'd me. Oh well. :P

It's worth it. In my opinion all of the dlc for Arma 3 are worth it execpt for karts. I mean, you may as well have all of the content at your disposal.

Yes you do, if you mean legitimately.

You can spawn in the jets though, but this will give you the watermark.

It is worth it if you are looking to fly in ArmA and the current discount is as good as it's ever been.

Actually, you can use stuff in the DLC even without the DLC.

You just get nagged like in a F2P game to buy, and every minute or so the screen is showing the DLC icon over and over, blocking out the view. Sort of a preview, since the data seems to be already in the game, it's just not fully unlocked.

Not sure if it's the same for planes, but I would assume so, because this seems to be their DLC scheme.

Naturally, you can't use this for serious play, as the advertising is pretty intrusive, but you should at least be able to check out if you like the planes before you buy it.

Always provided this works with planes as it does with guns and clothes etc of course.
Haven't tried yet personally with DLC copters and planes.

edit:
It has already been briefly mentioned.
Note to self: Read all the comments.

You can only equip and use DLC contents at base in arsenal menu then the game constantly nagging you to buy it. However you can not pick up any DLC weapon that you found in the world, or in enemy's inventory. And with DLC vehicles you can only sit in passenger seat, not driver/pilot and gunner.
All this happen when I was playing in COOP servers. Idk about other one though.
