2.7Ghz isnt that much. ArmA eats CPU like ass, GPU doesnt realy matter

All depends on what game modes you're playing, you have better specs that my mothers laptop and when i tried arma on it for lol's i was able to get 19-27fps while hosting a game of combat patrol of about 16 players. so either what you're playing is holding back some performance or tweaks you might be able to do to get the same or more fps my mothers laptops was able to get.

Laptops use less power thus they're NO good period for gaming.

What about the ones that have full fat desktop CPU's?, You didn't really think that one through lol

Still, 2 thread CPU with only 2.7ghz from wich arma uses only 1 is NOT enough. You can try to lower your view distance since graphical changes affect the FPS only a bit

My mothers laptop was only 2 cores 4 threads and no dedi gpu and got more!

Full fat cpu laptops run at the same speeds, 5ghz and same cores as they are the same cpu!

My mothers is the i5 7th gens version of the same cpu but no gpu, chances are it is either the game mode/server he is trying to play or power management settings need tweaking

Funny that... I thought I did. Maybe you want to leave your mother out of this topic and focus on what little you know. A PC Vs Laptop = PC wins every single time. What I have installed would fry a laptop and I'm not trying to brag (Thermodynamics).

Next time, if I can be bothered to help your deluded soul try NOT to slap other people's comments down with nonsensical acronyms because there isn't any need for it. Your laughter doesn't make you right. It makes you look like a goofball in my opinion.

We get it, you love overpowered typewriters and your mother.

@AnKulZ

The typewriter isn't really good for Arma.

1st i don't own a laptop, i was just using one as a benchmark for the op!
2nd i'm right about full desktop cpu's in some laptops, there has been many on linus tech tips that have the same versions of of the desktop cpu's and gpu's and run at the same clocks, temps and speeds, meaning no difference in performances you know because it's the same cpu!! Do some research next time kid! Try to google "laptops with full desktop cpu"!

All that being said i still wouldn't recommend buying one to someone, but facts are facts
