How do you change your username?
I want to change my username. Help pls...

You need to start a new profile . Arma 3 won't let you modify your default profile

Open your ArmA III game. Go to the "home" page where you have the option to play CAMPAIGN, MULTIPLAYER, and EDEN EDITOR. At the top RIGHT of the screen you should see a user icon next to the exit game option. Click on the User Icon, you get a dropdown of your current ingame name and IF you're in a unit. Click on your ingame name; here you get a new page, your entire PROFILE for ArmA III. Since you haven't made a new user you can't change your name. So at the bottom left of the PROFILE page click on "NEW" just to the right of "DELETE". Then you get the ability to customize your new user on the right, you can choose what face he will have, his name (which you wanted), any facewear, and his type of voice if you have that audio ingame enabled, which is basically like if you see a tank your player will say it ingame like "TANK 50M SOUTHWEST" something like that. Then like "OK" at the bottom right once you've finished your customization. aand you should be set. same thing for a new user or to customize that user.

Copied my "Mark" files over from 'Arma 3' folder, and the saved folder as it doesn't say this in the guide, into my newer profile folder "Captain Shonko", under the 'Arma 3 - Other Profiles' folder. Deleted my original captain shonko files and renamed the "Mark" files to "Captain%20Shonko".

Fired up KOTH, jumped onto a server as Captain Shonko and boom, all the money and rank has carried over. Result :-D" You're welcome.

try unloading all mods, then try to change the name of the second profile you have. That worked for me.

He is right. Go to your computer's file where your "Arma3" and "Arma3 - Profiles" is kept after you created the new profile. You can just do a search for the files but they should be in your Personal folder in "Documents".
Copy the contents of the "Arma3" that include "Saved Games" and other files for example: "YourOldUserName.arma3Profile" then open up the "Arma3 - OtherProfiles" and delete everthing there and copy the contents from "Arma3".
No need to delete the old profile. And I wouldn't as you can keep it as a back up.
When, I bought a new laptop because my old one died. I believe the profile was saved by steam. So, a backup might not be needed. Just make sure the cloud saves are activated on steam.
