EBO / PBO?
Anyone know what the difference is? I want to look over some of the Tanks DLC mission files - the base setup for the Tank Destroyers showcase was absolutely beautiful, and I'd like to try to find out how they did it so I can do something similar for a Tanoa mod I'm working on.

Is EBO accessable like PBO, or am I just out of luck on that gig for now?

EBOs are encrypted PBOs. They're used by Bohemia Interactive and some other parties to reinforce their content against thieves. Bohemia has a general policy where they'll release DLCs initially as EBOs, but they'll turn them into PBOs you can inspect later on when the "buzz" around the DLC has ended. Tools to crack EBO encryption and make your own EBOs are around but they're a little underground if you know what I'm saying and they generally go undiscussed on public channels like this here forum.

On private channels however... they're quite popular... if you know what I'm saying.

Ah, while I'm sure I could find one of those decryption tools, I agree with that business practice, I'll keep away from breaking things. I noticed they "unlocked" Jets DLC and let people modify the PBOs now, which wasn't the case a while ago - I guess I can try to make do with whatever else is in the game files for now.

Ah yeah homie, that's the real stuff. That tool is one of two tools made by Dougemm, the other being the slightly more difficult to acquire one that can crack BI EBO encryption real quick. It's exactly what OP needs if he wants to inspect the goods...

Perhaps I've already said too much.

If you're just looking for examples of how BI have done thing, grab the ArmA III Samples package under Library > Tools. Requires ~3 GB of disk space but contains examples of most things in ArmA.

You may want to grab the ArmA III Tool package as well if you haven't already.

For the record only TacOps and Tanks are still in EBO format ATM...

Indeed, and OP has indeed wanted to get into a very certain mission file set from the Tanks DLC. If he wants that as an example, he'll need to either wait a while or acquire an EBO-cracker. No need to advise me on what tools someone would need, I've got all those you reference and plenty more.
