Arma 3

No sound behind me.
I just got Arma 3 and I was in bootcamp, when I looked on the bottom left corner I see a dialog but couldn't hear it. I later realised that the squad leader was behind me. Any sounds coming from behind me are not heard. Can someone help me fix this?

Sounds to me like your game thinks you have a multi speaker surround sound system, when in reality this is not the case.

Try checking your sound settings for anything like that.

Either that or the surround sound isn't working right, which is apparently a common issue with Arma. I don't know if there's a fix for it or have people with surround just set their audio to stereo for the game.

It might not be in the arma settings. Try checking your system sound settings.

Did you set your audio to stereo like Sams suggested?

Positional sound has been broken in arma 3 since Apex and the 64bit. Even using stereo headsets the sounds cut off all the time. Environmental sounds pop in and out.

This has never been fixed and will never be fixed. The important bugs like sound, stutter, ai performance and memory problems all get ignored. They just pretend they are not there.

The sound bug is suposed to be just in 5.1 or 7.1 in 64 bit but it is not stereo sound is also affected. 32 bit works ok with sound. Strange that. lol
