HUD Is broken

Randomly I cant see who is talking nor see announcements. Also people keep telling me to press U to join a group thing and its not doing anything. I see the message to join a group but it gives me no indication of working

Go into single player. Is the hud still broken? If no, it's the server and you should talk to the server owner/admin/dev/mascot. If yes, more info is needed. Like game version and possible mods, launch parms and difficulty level etc.

Im using the latest version. I dont use mods. and I dont know how to trigger it so if it doesnt happen in single player that doesnt mean that it was the servers fault.. Also Ive only been playing on quick play servers with no mods.

Edit: Look at my screenshots. The chat UI doesnt show up

Stream friendly UI enabled in the game settings? Or try resetting the HUD layout.

Options -> Game -> Layout -> Select Arma 3 Default -> Click OK -> Restart game

I meant you reset it once, and it would fix it permanently.

But I thought it was constantly broken, so the UI layout probably isn't the problem then.

Man I know why I dont play this game. Its worse than battlefield with the whole DLC in your face and its buggy as hell.

I couldn't care what people say about this game!
i only ask because of your lack of comprehending skill shown in what you're saying!

But your reply shows more lacking and the response of a child tells me the answer i was looking for!

Soo was there an answer? I have the same issue intermittently with the chat if not a scripted campaign. The whole HUD display has shrunk to just the centre of the screen instead of filling it. The game runs full screen. i have tried to reset in LAYOUT, checked resolutions in game and desktop. i am quite a newbie to gaming so in the deep end! Anything helpful would be appreciated (and i havent been a kid for decades!) Thanks
