for WWII it is almost OK for 1942_45 with US/UK weapons and fatigues mixed; some helmets or Kepi and Calots useful (think of Légion and Goums, Tabors etc...colorful units ( italy to germany )
What I expected is postwar units : Indochine, Algeria, Suez...1946/1960
A good deal of weapons in Unsung, but no FM24/29 or MG Hotchkiss
APC : Crabs, LVT A 75 mm,
Uniforms: Chapeau de Brousse (a mix of Australian and Bonnie...), white Képi, Calots distinctive colors, Sailors Bachi, Paras Berets + insigna ( also JU 52 "Toucan" for airborne ops.......
Almost of this can do for postwar and dé-colonisation conflicts in various countries.

In fact I'd argue CSA38 is a better base for WW2 overall. Far more interesting units and equipment.
Also this is a pretty old thread and for what you are asking can't remember if Unsung covers French units.
Ho and the uniform and general equipement are great to set up different scenario. Vichy, Resistants, Battle of France, War in the desert, Italy, Invasion of Germany...
To add further Frenchiness in your missions, you can consider installing the WW1 mod : Lebel, St-Etienne, more variety of FT-17, 75mm canon, heavy artillery....
Thanks for your interest, I'd now found many wanted items in various mods ....
My interest is still mostly post WWII : Indochina, Korea, North Africa .....and Santa added "Indochine" with FM24/29, french pieces of clothing and accessories etc..just in time !
It is now possible to create valuable units for the period....but more uniforms, headress, and vehicules should always be welcomed _mostly for Algeria.
Great movie :-D As the prologue will be overwhelming, I don't know if the epilogue will be anticlimatic or grandiose.
To those interessted by WW2 French I've forgot to say that you also have the Lebel, Berthier, Chauchat to equipe your brave ww2 french soldiers.
I think the Chauchat was seldom used after 1935 , rarely seen in pictures from WWII....
The Hotchkiss will be a better choice and some Reibel , to be used fixed in posts or blockhaus (Indochine and AFN )
The Lebel and Berthier are often seen with Militias , Harka, or Territorial units.......sometimes on Vietminh or ALN/FLN . The Mousqueton was even probably used by Gendarmerie Mobile well after 1968
