WHY DO I HAVE LOW FPS ON ARMA 3 ON good PC

There could be a number of reasons. The most common cause is setting your distances too far. The more objects the Arma III engine has to process, the slower your FPS.

The problem is not with your PC. You can run Arma III on an i5 and still get ~60 FPS in multiplayer mode. I know, because that is what I use and what I'm getting. I keep my distances to around 3K. Unless I'm flying a jet (and I only do that in single-player), then I set my distances to 5K and watch my FPS drop from 80 FPS to 40 FPS.

You should still check it out. Its from 2001! Top of the line! It got a booming 64 mb ram on it.

Indeed it is. You might get a few more pixeles than on newer and more expensive cards, but that's not a big problem in my opinion.

Awww come on guys. I have an i7 6700K and a GTX1070 and run at 60+ FPS in multiplayer with 45 mods and Alive. His processor is not the best one but I have played also on a laptop i7 with GT950 and got good frames.

Consider cutting the number of sounds in settings. Also reduce clouds.

It might also be your internet connection although ARMA is good with ping. Also try:

o GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; use 1 here when You use frames ahead 1(see below). If You use frame ahead 3-4 set this to 1000.(default is 1000 I guess You can set up more)

o GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;You can set this to 1,2,3,4( higher number can have more fps sometimes, but has more input lag always)

• Download ParkControl https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/. Windows limits your processor to save power. ParkControl takes off the limits and allows all cores to function optimally for ARMA.

o Ensure PC is on “Hight Performance” in Windows settings

o Disable all controls in ParkControl.

• Lower PIP on ARMA Video settings
