Arma 3 not starting "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
Every time ive tried to launch Arma 3 i get the error

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

This is a strange error i've never had in 1,800 hours of Arma, and ive tried everything to resolve the issues from:
Reinstalling Graphics Drivers,
Closing Razer Synapse,
Move install folder for Arma 3,
Verifying game cache,
Deleting Battleye/Uninstalling Battleye,
Disabling Anti-Virus,
Running Steam as Admin,
Changing Security settings in Properties for Arma 3,
Disabling Windows Security/Firewall,
Turning PC off and on.
****UPDATE***
Switching off Steam Beta
Reinstalling Steam
Deleting all traces of Battle Eye from PC and %appdata%

This issue only started this morning when i restarted Steam to update. I can force the game to launch by running without Battleye but i can't join my server.

Anyone have any solutions or have faced a similar issue?

Yeah this was fixed for everyone. The new patch this morning fixed it.

How old is your hd/ssd....any other issues accessing the same drive, perhaps defrag or Trim the drive.

game is on a 1TB SSD that is about 1-2 years old

Just fancied an hour on ahoy before bed and ive got the same issue....was fine yesterday.

Update....game runs from Arma3 .exe but got issue with battle eye not running now.

GAme will run without battle eye but i want to play on my server. Which i don't feel like disabling battle eye for the whole server just to play...

yea i was playing all day yesterday on arma and i left my pc on when i went to bed and i woke up got on and this is what happend so somthing happend last night or in the morning

I'm having the same issue, 5000 hours in Arma 3 first time this has happened.

I feel like it has some relation with a Steam update, that's the only change i've noticed in 24 hours

An update to battle eye was released today which broke the game for a lot of people.

Hello

Update from BE ,,, start steam as admin (os) and try again ,,,,, i have play arma whit the last update and have no errors or connecting problems.
