Arma 3
Can't start from launcher and when I try to launch arma3_x64 it says I'm missing VCOMP120.DLL
When I launch from the launcher it says theres a bug and it exits the game, it doesn't seem to show the bug that causes it then when I launch arma3_x64 it says I'm missing VCOMP120.DLL and it asks me to reinstall the program to fix this problem which I feel like may work. BUT! When I launch just arma3 the game works it loads fine and in gunfights everything loads all that and in big tank battles it works fine and everything, so I see no reason for it to do this. I am playing on a sony laptop, I do not know the specs as this was passed down to me from my aunt, but I'll get back to you if/when I find em out.

EDIT: And if I download VCOMP120.DLL will I get sued? I had a similar issue with skyrim and not getting the full dlc file and rather then just reinstalling I tried to just get the file off the web, it was the right file but I got a threat saying I would be sued for downloading it.

go into the directory '~\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\_CommonRedist' and install each of the windows libraries from there.

DON'T DOWNLOAD VCOMP120.DLL SEPERATELY!!!! It is almost guaranteed that it will not be free of malware from any other site than M$'s official official install package.

Alrighty, I'lll try it

Might be a stupid question but how exactly do I "Install each of the windows libraries"? I've looked online and I found nothing

in that directory there are folders for DirectX, DotNet and vcredist.

Run the setup executables in each of the subfolders, i.e.:
  1. ~\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe
  2. ~\DotNet\4.5.2\NDP452-KB2901907-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe
  3. ~\vcredist\2010\vcredist_x64.exe & ~\vcredist\2010\vcredist_x86.exe
  4. ~\vcredist\2012\vcredist_x64.exe & ~\vcredist\2012\vcredist_x86.exe
  5. ~\vcredist\2013\vcredist_x64.exe & ~\vcredist\2013\vcredist_x86.exe
Just follow the prompts that appear on screen for each.
