Arma 3

Milsim players hating on contemporary shooters
. Do not argue with me if you do not have these series of traits.

People often play "tactical games" like SWAT 4. They redicule games with a greater degree of movement and speed. Arma clans often play against AI because they sorely lack full of incompetent planning and awareness, adaption against human players.

When a Milsim team gets demolish by AI. If you ever noticed they blame something and get angry with each other. Or say "bad luck", its because they absolutely don't care about improving and rather make an abstract reason for losing without responsibility.

I always want them to scout before hand and take more tactically advantageous routes but Milsim players want that "picture perfect" scene and rather get ambushed than thoroughly and carefully moving with respect for the terrain and enemy possible movement.

because the reality is that themselves are incompetent to apply tactics, pacing, awareness or skills into contemporary shooters without hand holding configuration.

This is how people shift "realism", they go to a game or mode that suits their incompetence in order to get a better cinematic of CQB methods. No one ever said they couldn't play tactically, but they are easily influenced by other more skilled players with worse tactics and suddenly believe the game lacks tacticalness. They set standards for the game and others but never set standards for themselves.

You haven't really defined what the 'traits' are.
Secondly, there are units as you describe shift the boundaries of realism to fit their needs because they just want to have fun at the end of the day, that's semi/casual MilSim.
There's also the units who imitate without a fault to the TACSOP of Military Forces, train their members in all the skills required to be selective special roles and who still critisizes when they do something wrong as it's constructive.

I don't get what you mean by "picture perfect", but some units, like Task Force Aspis, have operations with AI Enemies including players to act as enemies to potray the simulation of interacting with enemies, civilians etc. I'm pretty sure people who play MilSim don't join it to become the poster boys for some recruiting video, nor do they want every OP to go as simple as it is.

This pretty much read like, "milsim players are bad"

honestly i find milsim kinda lame, full of people who just like to command kids around to feel important.

most of them are the kinda people to pull maybe 3 kills an entire game of koth....

so your right. lol

So funny, you compare kills to 'skill'.

There is nothing more gratifying that allowing a bunch of nerds to do all the work, then taking all the glory. . ;)

the kills of a leader won't matter unless he's team is unproductive. If the leader doesn't want to manage a team despite becoming a leader, then the entire unit is defective. If the team blames the leader, the team is incompetent. If the leader doesn't learn or acknowledge the team, the unit will defect.

im da fookeng messiah

Anyone who uses a keyboard and a mouse to control a digital avatar, but then claims that they are going for "realism" needs to be seriously slapped about the head and shoulders.

Personally, I play military sims (Arma in particular) to avoid reality. I had enough military reality when I served in the USMC, I don't need it in my games. :steamsalty:

Yeah i do. in a pvp mode, in a game about war, where literally the ONLY measure of how good you are would be in kills or destruction of vehicles

what do you use to measure skill in pvp?
