Secondly, there are units as you describe shift the boundaries of realism to fit their needs because they just want to have fun at the end of the day, that's semi/casual MilSim.
There's also the units who imitate without a fault to the TACSOP of Military Forces, train their members in all the skills required to be selective special roles and who still critisizes when they do something wrong as it's constructive.
I don't get what you mean by "picture perfect", but some units, like Task Force Aspis, have operations with AI Enemies including players to act as enemies to potray the simulation of interacting with enemies, civilians etc. I'm pretty sure people who play MilSim don't join it to become the poster boys for some recruiting video, nor do they want every OP to go as simple as it is.
honestly i find milsim kinda lame, full of people who just like to command kids around to feel important.
most of them are the kinda people to pull maybe 3 kills an entire game of koth....
so your right. lol
There is nothing more gratifying that allowing a bunch of nerds to do all the work, then taking all the glory. . ;)
im da fookeng messiah
If we die in a mission we immediately root for the A. I.
Personally, I play military sims (Arma in particular) to avoid reality. I had enough military reality when I served in the USMC, I don't need it in my games.
Yeah i do. in a pvp mode, in a game about war, where literally the ONLY measure of how good you are would be in kills or destruction of vehicles
what do you use to measure skill in pvp?
