I know, you are in 3CB too, but I was wondering if it was possible to show a different model when you do it.
No it's not due to no magazine proxy if I recall correctly.
But I think the thompson in one of the WW2 mods does it, IIRC. But I guess those load the same and go in the same spot on the weapon, so it's different than an M249.
But add that feature to a weapon, I don't know.
Just checked, and NIArms does what I was looking for!
Here's an M249 fun fact for you, for your help.
An M249 bolt would actually sheer the feed lips off an AR15 magazine, from heat, speed, and roughness.
