What the everliving ♥♥♥♥.
Check your action menu for option.
also if you kill civilians they will leave the squad
Killed nothing. Didn't even have anything engaged. But poof. They just vanished from my squad.
They vanished from my squad the second I gave a mortar fire order. This was the 6th or so time I gave the other though.
I got the game when it first came out, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ missions were a disaster so I uninstalled.
I come back and they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worse than they were before.
Try to do anything with a tank or an APC? Might as well hotkey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ switching between gunner, driver, etc. Because there's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ use to having an ai driver or gunner.
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ai gunners won't shoot at infantry. And the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ai drivers won't go ANYWHERE logical.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tell them to move up a WIDE STREET with NOTHING IN IT. And they decide to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ back up and get stuck on a building. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded.
If you want to move an AI driven armor vehicle, wheeled vehicles are your best bet becasse they will use the roads. Tracked vehicles won't and if there are a lot of trees about, they'll just get stuck in them.
Wheels are what I've been using. Haven't used tracks yet. I would imagine they're less god awful since I'd imagine the ai does less ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 11 point turns in them.
And for me driving and them shooting... lolololol.
I did a defense mission. Worked as driver to get it into the right spot, then switched to commander immediately telling the new driver to stop since they tend to start moving after switching for no apparent reason.
Then I proceeded to watch the gunner move the turret and aim at everytime I told him to target. Tried main 40mm gun, tried coax MG. On both of them, the ONLY enemies he'd shoot would be the other vehicles. He wouldn't shoot the 2 dozen of so infantry running around. He's just aim straight at them and track them perfectly but NEVER fire. After a while I switched to gunner and tried to keep my infantry from dying from all the damn enemies that were never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shot at.
The ai is so mentally retarded. And its not like the solo missions are any better since the puts you solo against 2 dozen enemies running straight at you with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 556 rifle and 1 spare mag.
The game's ai is such ♥♥♥♥ they have to throw multiple enemies at a play to make it "fair". And then they turn around and make the player pixel-hunt for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AT infantry hiding behind some magic rock-tree while driving, because if the ai drove, they'd do a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 11 point turn in a damn wheeled APC and have their ass facing the enemy before coming to a stop.
When they were spotted as actual infantry, machine gunners, etc. He wouldn't aim at them at all LOL.
An IRL Tank(Proper - M1 Abrams or similar MBT) will go straight through buildings, trees, and all these other retarded stone walls everywhere.
That'd make the retarded ai less impactful on gameplay experience.
I use that method all the time playing Domination servers and rarely get killed by AT soldiers or enemy tanks.
You're right about AI drivers for tanks though...they are very bad. Recent updates for arma have broken them even more than they were...
You can assign an ai driver and still drive through commands. Only difference is forward and back are permanent until ordered to stop. It works really well just press w when your in the gunner seat and you have an ai driver your in command of. Youll figure out the rest.
Dude its been 6 months since the last reply. wtf is your problem.
